Meet Jared Sheldon

4-Goal Field · 9-Goal Arena

Jared started playing with adults when he was just 7 years old in the arena, and played on grass for the first time at 16 in a competitive tournament. He has been playing professionally for 17 years and is currently rated 9 goals in the arena and 4 goals on the grass.

He loves polo because no other sport combines speed, physicality, and a 1,000-pound animal.

He's won too many tournaments to count, but his favorite accomplishments include 4 US Arena Opens, the FIP II Arena World Cup Gold, the 20-goal Silver Cup, and the America's Cup.

Meet Santos Arriola

2-Goal Field · 14 years @ South Bay

Santos was born and raised in Queretaro, Mexico, but has called California home for more than 30 years. He learned to play at the San Diego Polo Club in Del Mar, California, and now holds a 2-goal handicap. Santos has won many USPA tournaments, including the Governor's Cup when there were 42 teams entered!

Many call him a "horse whisperer" because he can make even the most feral and fearful horses trust him through his gentle riding and handling. You can't miss his huge smile on the polo field!

Meet Lee Mullins

Resident Pro · South Bay & Menlo

Lee Mullins is a professional polo player from the Big Island of Hawaii. He began riding horses at a young age with his dad at the Hawaii Polo Club in Mokuleia, and has since played professionally in Hawaii, the mainland, and South America.

Lee is one of the resident pros at South Bay Polo Club and Menlo Polo Club, and currently coaches the youth and academy programs at South Bay. He prides himself on being an intuitive rider and a great sportsman — horsemanship and a love for polo passed down from his late father, Tony Mullins.
